KDS continued the popular run of Christmas Pantomimes with ‘Dick Whittington’ – a combination of song, humour, love, awful jokes and the predictably raucous Dame; who got the best laugh of the entire production when she accidently swept her hat and curly locks clean off her head during the usual hilarious “cake in the face” sketch. As with all KDS productions, normal people were moulded into truly distinctive characters; most notably here a school teacher becoming a larger than life Queen Rat, with her sidekicks ‘Rot’ and ‘Stench’.
