Happy New Year!
Posted on January 6, 2018
We wish all our members, Friends and loyal supporters all the best for 2018.
It looks to be an exciting year for KDS, kicking off with the very funny two act comedy Murder Inn, which will be the first play ever directed by one of our youngest members, Ruth Quigley. I’m sure many of you will remember Ruth as waitress, Mimi, in our 2015 production of ‘Allo ‘Allo. As this is her debut in directing for KDS she has loads of wonderful ideas and endless enthusiasm, which is sure to make our April show a superb night out for all. Please do come along if at all possible, full details can be found within the Future Productions section.
Rising show costs, resulting in an average production costing us £6,000 to put on nowadays, means we are planning fundraising events within the local community over the next few months. Please do keep an eye open for these events, which will be well advertised in and around the village and please support us. Many local villages have lost their drama groups due to lack of funds and we’d really appreciate your help in ensuring KDS continues for the next 70 years! Claire Fraser Vice President
It’s Showtime!

After months of rehearsing and much preparation we’re delighted to be ready to entertain you once again this week.
Murder Inn will take place at Kidston Hall on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, with curtain up at 7.30pm. It promises to be an entertaining evening for all and any support you can give us in coming along and being part of our audience is greatly appreciated. As the title suggests this is a classic murder mystery tale with a cast of fantastic characters, all of whom could have reason to kill. Do join us and see if you can solve this ghostly whodunnit!
Tickets can be obtained via our Box Office page and we look forward to seeing you.

Thanks to all who supported our Spring 2018 production ‘Murder Inn’. We loved entertaining you once again and hope you enjoyed the show.
We are now planning our November show and delighted to announce that it will be the panto ‘Sleeping Beauty’ under direction from very experienced Mandy Robinson. Mandy has successfully directed ‘Jack & the Beanstalk’ plus ‘Dick Whittington’ for us previously and we all look forward to working with her again. As usual anyone interested in joining us for this production, be it on stage or behind the scenes, will be most welcome and details of our initial reading of the script have been posted on the Forthcoming Productions page. Meanwhile if you just can’t wait (!) do use the Contact Us page to speak to a member of the Committee.
